We have an early 90s house which, unwisely, brought main power and other services into the basement below ground level. Over time those conduits began letting in water (several electricians and an inspector told me it's common and not dangerous). In very wet weather these basement wall penetrations weep water. The wall diverter collects the water and empties into a sump with a sump pump. I had 2 plumbers and 2 contractors look at the problem but none could propose a better solution than the wall diverter, because it collects water that would otherwise dribble down the wall.
